All New 7 MM track materials

Welcome to the C & L Blog, today I present three new products to our range.

I have taken the specification for the code 125 bullhead rail in house and from source original drawings produced scale 7mm drawing of  95LB bullhead rail and supplied this to our rail manufacture who in turn have created matching engineering drawings for new tooling to produce our own in house bullhead rail exclusively to C & L. The new rail is still compatible with the original range of rail chairs from C & L but with much improved rail to chair fit.

This rail is now available though our website on part number 7RA101A At special introductory price see website for details

All new Flexi track base this has been designed so that it can be assemble in a number of different ways firstly as a standard flexi track but also in 45 or 60 foot track panels these can be supplied in preassembled lengths or as loose. Each track base section contains one sleeper at  the 7mm eqvelent of 12 inches wide with the larger S1J chair fitted which would found at a rail joint and then six standard 10 inchwide at the correct spacing. Within each track panel there are markings within the sleeper spacing to set the correct sleeper spacing to each end of a track panel.

New track base is expected to be available mid November picture on website hopefully by the end of next week.  First test shots only arrived last week!

All new three bolt rail chair sprue this contain 10 standard S1 chairs, 2 S1J chairs that would be used at the rail joints , 2 L1 Chairs these would be used in area were space is restricted and a larger chair would not fit and 2 H section fish plates one plan the other reinforced web type.

New chair sprue should also be available by mid November

The original 7 mm  3 bolt tooling has been away for refurbishment and will be still available along side the new chairs.

This is the part of rolling program of up grades to the C & L range of products, I can say that another product is currently in tooling that could be available before Christmas one ready to go to tooling and one in cad for final layout.

All of the above has been produced here in the UK supporting British industry I especially like to thank the tool makers for their attention to detail and help in me understanding  moulding process.

Finally you the modellers who use our products without your support the above would not be possible.
